  • Vagrantcafe: To pray without ceasing — Contemplation and renewal at the Abbey of Gethsemani – an excellent introduction to contemplative prayer accompanied by a diary of the author’s experience at a retreat at the Abbey of Gethsemani. (This is the Trappist monestary where Thomas Merton was a brother.) Also, while on the subject of the abbey, take a look at which is a website created by the Abbey.
  • is an interresting collaborative project that has the mission of creating “as a community, the leading international office suite that will run on all major platforms and provide access to all functionality and data through open-component based APIs and an XML-based file format.” I am eager to try out the software package.
