• One of my all-time favorite bands the Urban Hillbilly Quartet has just released a new album (A-List, a collection of their best songs from their previous gloriously good albums) that I reckon will be worth getting.

Also, they’ve now debuted a newly improved website with a genuinely folksy feel. It can be found at UrbanHillbillyQuartet.com.

  • While I’m thinking about all things Minnesotan, I got give a shout out to the good folks at House of Mercy, a church that bills itself as offering “a discriminating blend of high church and low, of tradition and innovation, sincere worship and healthy skepticism.”

You gotta love a church that values skepticism and old-timey gospel music sung like it was in the 1920’s or thereabouts.
