WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTH AND INCREASE BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 3 AM AS AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT MOVES RAPIDLY SOUTHWARD. AFTER THE FRONT PASSES WINDS WILL BECOME NORTHERLY AT 30 TO 40 MPH… WITH FREQUENT GUSTS FROM 40 TO 50 MPH FOR A PERIOD OF SEVERAL HOURS. THE STRONG WIND WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY A RAPID FALL IN TEMPERATURE FROM THE 60S INTO THE 30S. THE COMBINATION OF WIND AND COLD TEMPERATURES WILL DROP WIND CHILL READINGS INTO THE TEENS BY DAYBREAK SUNDAY.

      AS WINDS SUBSIDE AND SKIES CLEAR SUNDAY NIGHT… THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES OF THE SEASON SO FAR CAN BE EXPECTED SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL BELOW FREEZING LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON… AND BOTTOM OUT IN THE UPPER TEENS TO LOWER 20S MONDAY MORNING.

  • Crazily enough it’s going to get downright frigid in Austin too. Of course it won’t be anything like here (they might get below freezing while my locale will get into the upper teens — yikes I gotta go buy some gloves)
