• First, for any of my friends — my cell phone is currently down. It might be up tomorrow but there’s no telling for sure. If you need to get in touch with me in the meantime email would be the best bet..
  • Law schools finals prep is going ok. My crim pro outline is starting to take shape thanks to the good folks at Thompson/West who publish the black letter outline for Basic Criminal Procedure, Third Edition by Saltzburg, Capra & Davis. — I highly recommend this if you are in LaFrancois’ Crim Pro class at OCU. This outline seems to track really well with what LaFrancois covered. My other classes (Bankruptcy and Con Law I) aren’t going so well. I haven’t started on the outlines for either of them but I did find a good outline that someone else put together for Bankruptcy. The outline is by Damien Falgoust who took Bankruptcy at UT School of Law under Professor Westbrook in 1998. (the same Westbrook who co-edited our Bankruptcy casebook)
  • Everything else in life sucks pretty badly. Depression is stalking me like a serial killer and I’m getting sick of it. I think what is most frustrating about it is the irrationality of it. There is no good reason for the emotions and yet they feel so real and so overwhelming. I am hoping that the end of L-school finals will help in getting out of this funk because I don’t how much longer I can go like this. — hehehe, either that or I need to take a L-school sabatical and move to Austin for awhile 😉 But of course I would probably be depressed there too.
  • On a slightly happier note, MSNBC says that Jason White is the leading front-runner in the Heisman race. I’m not much of an OU fan (I usually am pulling for the ‘Horns thanks to my glorious but all too short years in Austin) but I’m excited to hear White is in the lead as he is a local boy. He first came into football fame at Tuttle High School (a neighboring school to my hometown of Newcastle and our big rival) where he did some amazing plays. From even that point you could tell he was destined for greatness.
