Taken from: JMBranum.com:
I’m very pleased with this story, especially since last week the paper ran a story on my two opponents (Anastasia Pittman and Willard Linzy) that didn’t mention me. Thankfully though once the newspaper was made aware of my omission, they kindly offered to run a story on me, and even cooler put it on the front page (!).
By the way, The Midcity Advocate is a print-only publication, so if you want to read the article click on the image above to pull up a scanned version of the story from the October 5, 2006 edition. Also, my scanner only does b/w, so that’s why the photo isn’t in color.
Very cool!
Dear James,
If there is anything I can do to help you and any other anti-war candidates to win, let me know;
Since the voting machines can be rigged, it will undoubtedly be a huge uphill battle.
Since most of the elections have been bought by big money, money is also a huge problem.
Why don’t you hammer away on the anti-war theme; emphasizing the death penalty issue probably is a
big turnoff to some people who want to see mean people get what they gave; of course we don’t want
to see anyone innocent executed or even punished in any way.
We have just got to find a way to get anti-war people with a passion for Justice running this
country.
Take care.
Sincerly,
Sheila
Hi Sheila,
You have a good thought there, but the problem is that the war is mostly a federal issue. Since i’m running for a state office, I got to focus on state issues.
James
Dear James,
I thought you were running for a federal representative office ; I was hoping that you would win
and help stop the war.
I feel real silly about my ignorance, but I hope you can find a way to win that office anyway.
Sincerely,
Sheila
