What: A BBQ
Who: Friends of James & Sadie, and supporters of the Oklahoma Center for Conscience
When: Saturday, June 4th, 6 p.m.-Dark
Where: the grounds of Joy Mennonite Church, 504 NE 16th St, Oklahoma City, OK (at the corner of NE 16th & Lincoln, just south of the state capitol)
Why: To celebrate James Branum’s 35th Birthday and Sadie Mast’s 81st birthday! Also to raise a few bucks for the GI Rights project of the Oklahoma Center for Conscience
More details: The shindig will be held on the grounds of Joy Mennonite Church, at the corner of NE 16th & Lincoln Blvd in OKC. If the weather is nice, we’ll eat outside. If it ain’t nice, we’ll eat inside.
I’ll be fixing the meat (probably brisket, chicken and hot dogs, along with maybe some grilled veggies), but folks are welcome to bring side items, deserts, etc.
If you are a musician, bring your instrument as I hope we can have a jam session.
All friends and family are invited.
No gifts are necessary but if you feel inclined you can make a donation to the GI Rights project of the Oklahoma Center for Conscience (www.centerforconscience.org). My goal is to raise at least $400, but any amount would be helpful.
