The picture at the top of this page (as of 12-13-03) was a shot I took on this beautiful snowy day on the OCU campus.

In the shot above you can see Oklahoma’s state flower growing… yep that’s right. It’s the Mistletoe that is the last remaining green haning on up in the treetops. Supposedly Oklahoma grows the best Mistletoe of anywhere in the country, but it hasn’t been doing me any good with my lack of kisses this Christmas season. 😉 BTW, Oklahoma also has an official state wildflower, the Indian Blanket. This makes no sense since both the Mistletoe (a tree parasite that has tiny flowers) and the Indian blanket both grow wild, but nevertheless that’s their official status.
