The website the Meat Industry doesn’t want you to see — a pretty horrific website (the main thing is a 15 min or so video expose on the practice of the meat industry), but I think the final analysis is flawed. Not all farmers and ranchers use these kind of practices. There’s a good selection of meat available from the Oklahoma Food Coop, from producers who do not use Confined Animal Feeding Operations, with many going as far being grass raised and finished.

If vegetarianism is right for you more power to you, but I think it is unethical to pitch vegetarianism as being the only possible response to horrible practices by corporate agriculture. It simply is not true.
